A classic Spätlese, reminiscent of a plump basket of golden-yellow fruit. Bursting with fruity flavor, perfectly balanced with fresh stimulating acidic structure and creaminess. Perfect food companion to Asian, aromatic cuisine.
The VDP.Erste Lage is most easily compared to the French Premier Cru classification in Burgundy. VDP.Erste Lage consist of dry Rieslings from top, classified vineyard locations. From the yields and the development, our VDP.Erste Lage hardly differs from a Grosses Gewachs, the only difference is the individual location of the vineyards.
Soil:
The soil here is clearly characterized by red sandstone. Its south-east orientation and the close proximity to the village makes the Leinhöhle vineyard our warmest vineyard site.
